Description
Collection of ca. 100 miscellaneous programmes, leaflets, and programme diaries from venues throughout Scotland, or from British artists abroad (1831- 1998). It is loosely organised by venue, although many are from professional touring productions where the venues are not named, or from theatres represented by only one programme. Programmes are mostly theatrical, including opera, ballet, dance, musicals, etc.
Highlights of the collection include:
Helen Stewart Mackay (singer) and others: Smith Institute, Stirling (14/3/28). Back of programme is autographed by the performers.
Peter Kapp, ‘The Music of Gaelic Scotland’: Crescent City, California, USA (4/7/85).
Glasgow Phoenix Choir: St. John the Evangelist Scottish Episcopal Church, Aberdeen (8/5/76).
