Description
1 folder containing 22 programmes for concerts given by the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. Collection also includes posters and flyers and general information about the orchestra as well as the National Brass Band and National Choir of Wales. The National Youth Orchestra of Wales was founded in 1944 and gave its first concert in 1946 in Monmouth. The two conductors of the orchestra are Arthur Davison who succeeded Clarence Raybould.

Collections Overview
The Welsh Music Information Centre, funded by the Arts Council of Wales, was re-established in 2000 under the auspices of Ty Cerdd. The Centre seeks to fulfil its role in promoting all genres of Welsh music through archiving, publishing and performance; development of international links through IAMIC, the consortium of 40 Music Information Centres worldwide; provision of information on Welsh composers and their music, in association with the Welsh Music Guild and Cyfansoddwyr Cymru/Composers of Wales. The centre holds a collection of scores by Welsh composers and misc. music of Welsh interest.
