Description
A collection of programmes for performances of Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. The majority of programmes are for the annual performances given by the Bradford Gilbert and Sullivan Society from 1950-1981 (missing 1952), with additional programmes for 1983, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1991 and 1993. Apart from the performance in 1950 which was held at the Elite Picture House, Bradford, all other performances were held at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford. Years 1951, 1978, 1990 and 1991 have duplicates.
There is also one programme for 'Iolanthe' given by the Elizabethans' Amateur Operatic Society at the Town Hall, Ossett, 3-8/3/1975, and two programmes for performances given by the D'Oyly Carte, 21/4-3/5/1980 and 20-25/4/1981, pressumably at the Alhambra Theatre.
