Programme for second concert of the season given by the Cardiff Orchestral Society on 12 February 1903, with Miss Edna Thornton and Herbert Grover (vocalists), Mr W. H. Squire (cello), and Mr J. E. Deacon (conductor). A two-part concert alternating vocal and instrumental/orchestral repertory, with the composers being mainly English or German. The document also includes pictures of the soloists, lists of those involved in the running of the Cardiff Orchestral Society, and a set of extensive programme notes entitled ‘Biographical Notes and Extracts by the Hon. Sec., Mr W. A. Morgan’. Also, a list of the subscribers to the series.
