Description
A Souvenir Programme for the Delius Centenary Festival, given between 29 March and 7 April 1962 in Bradford.
This document includes programmes with words and notes, photographs of the principal performers, a biographical note (with photograph) on Rudolf Kempe, and lists of the choral and orchestral ensembles. There is also a large amount of historical information on Delius and details regarding the other (non-musical) events given as part of the Festival.
Choral/Orchestral concerts
All performances were given at St. George's Hall, Bradford and featured the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Rudolf Kempe.
29 March: Thomas Hemsley (vocal) and the Bradford Old Choral Society.
30 March: Raymond Cohen (violin).
31 March: Marjorie Thomas and Thomas Stewart (vocal) and the Bradford Festival Choral Society.

2 April, Bradford Grammar School: Chamber Concert with Raymond Cohen (violin), Gerald Moore (piano), Gerald English and Marjorie Thomas (vocal) and the Allegri String Quartet.
3, 5 and 7 April, Alhambra Theatre: A Village Romeo and Juliet, given by Sadler's Wells Opera, conducted by Meredith Davies.
