Description
A programme with words for the Grand Concerto Spirituale, selected from the sacred works of Mr Handel, as performed at Newport Church, on 3 August 1787.
The performance was given by the vocalists Mrs Billington, Mr Hill, Mr Goss, Master Gray and Mr Russell. The programme lists the principal string players, led by Mr G. Ashley, under the direction of Mr Cantelo.

The Coram Family Collection contains musical scores by Handel, a fair copy of the Messiah and the conducting score for the Foundling Hospital Anthem, written especially for the Thomas Coram Foundling Hospital. This score is annotated in Handel's own hand.
