Description
Programme and words for a performance of music of the 15th to 18th centuries, given as the second of three Concerts Historiques, at the Galerie des Champs-Elysees, Paris, on 10 March 1896.

This was a concert of vocal and instrumental music, concluding with a performance of J.S. Bach’s cantata ‘Liebster Gott’.

The programme lists the names of following vocal and instrumental soloists:

Vocal: Madame Lovano, Madame Josea Maya, Monsieur A. Challet and Monsieur Warmbrodt, with Les Chanteurs de St-Gervais.

Instrumental: Monsieur Hurel (oboe), Monsieur Hennebains (flute), and Monsieur Louis Diemer (keyboard).

The orchestra and chorus were under the direction of Vincent D’Indy and Charles Bordes, with Alexandre Guilmant (organ).

This document concludes with an advert, with programme for the final performance in this series, given on 17 March.
