Description
The programme for a Stereophonic Concert given on 25 May 1959 at the Cripplegate Theatre, Golden Lane, London, held with a prospectus for the Cripplegate Concerts of 1961-62 as individual items within a single envelope.
The Stereophonic Concert included performances by: the London Symphony Orchestra, with Jennifer Vyvyan and Marion Lowe (vocal) and the female chorus of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, conducted by Peter Mang; Wilhelm Kempff (piano); the Philharmonia Orchestra with Emil Gilels (piano), conducted by Leopold Ludwig; Carlo Bergonzi (tenor) and the Orchestra of the Accademia [Nazionale] di Santa Cecilia; and the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Nicolai Malko.
