Description
The programme and wordbook for Messrs Harrison’s Last Popular Concert, given at the Town Hall, Birmingham on 2 March 1891.
This was a two-part concert of vocal and instrumental solos, with orchestral repertory at the beginning and end of each act.
The programme includes a full list of the Hallé Orchestra (conducted by Charles Hallé) and records the involvement of the following vocal and instrumental soloists: Mademoiselle Antoinette Trebelli and Charles Santley (vocal), Charles Hallé (piano), and Miss Nettie Carpenter (violin).
There is also a brief historical note by Andrew Deakin.
