Programme and wordbook for Mr George Case's Annual Concert, given on 11 April 1855 at Exeter Hall, London.
This was a three-part concert, predominantly vocal, led by Mr Viotti Collins, conducted by Mr George Case, and accompanied by Mr W. H. Holmes, Herr Kuhe, Mr C. Blagrove, Francesco Berger, Mr Haskins and Mr G. Case.
The programme included two pieces composed expressly for the occasion, namely: Adolphe Gollmick, Grand Sestett for Six Performers on Three Pianofortes, with Orchestral Accompaniments, introducing 'God save the Queen', 'Partant pour la Syrie' and the Austrian Hymn, 'God Preserve the Empire' (performed by Miss Case, Miss E. Antoine, Herr Kuhe, Mr W. G. Cusins, Herr H. Bohrer and Mr Francesco Berger); and R. S. Prattzen, Grand Septett, founded on French National Melody, for Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon, Cornet-a-Piston, Horn, Trombone, and Double Bass (performed by Messrs R. S. Pratten, Lazarus, Baumann, T. and C. Harper, Cioffi and Howell). Also, the first performance of a Fantastia Concertina, from 'Les Huguenots', written and performed by G. Case.
