Description
A wordbook for Mr Wallworth's Concert and Operatic Performance, given on 2 December 1867 at St. George's Hall, Langham Place, with Mr H. Parker at the piano and Mr Haydn Harrison (harmonium).
The concert was a single-act vocal performance given by Mademoiselle Amalia May, Mr Colson Phillips and Mr Lewis Thomas. It opened and closed with a choral piece performed by the English Glee Union and included a piano solo given by Miss Ellice Jewell.
The Operatic Performance consisted of A New Drawing-Room Opera in two acts, entitled 'Kevin's Choice', the words by Miss Hazlewood and the music by T. A. Wallworth. This was given by the vocalists Miss Susanna Cole, Miss Lucy Franklein, Mr Theodore Distin, Mr Wallworth and Mr W. H. Cummings.
The evening concluded with Offenbach's operetta, Lischen and Fritzchen, with characters by Mr Wallworth and his pupil Miss Lucy Franklein.
