Description
A collection of programmes and wordbooks for the first and third Vocal Recitals, given by Mrs Henschel at the Salle Erard, Great Marlborough Street, London on 30 November and 14 December [1894].
Both performances consisted of vocal pieces performed by Henschel and piano solos given by Mademoiselle Augarde. The majority of the music was from the nineteenth century and was German in origin.
The first programme contains brief handwritten annotations regarding encores/additions to the printed programme, as well as an advertisement (with programme) for the second recital, given at the same venue on 7 December 1894.
