Description
A collection of programmes for events - including concerts - given at the Royal Albert Hall, London, since 1913.
Also, a complete set of programmes for the Royal Albert Hall Sunday Concerts for the period 1871 to 1913.
In addition to concert programmes, the Royal Albert Hall archive includes a complete set of Council records (from 1867), various press cuttings and a small collection of handbills.
A database project is ongoing to input information from the programme collection and eventually list all events held at the Hall. As of September 2007, this has reached the 1980s. The long-term aim is to make this information available online. Until that point, enquries can be made directly to the archivist (archivist@royalalberthall.com).
