Short Biography: Founded 1915 by W.G. Whittaker (musicologist; Bach scholar). Originally founded to sing Bach cantatas. Extant in 2005. Based in the music department of the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and previously in the university's predecessor institutions.
