Dates: 1887Organisation: South Place Sunday Popular Concerts Short Biography: Concert series given at South Place Institute/Chapel (until 1929), then Conway Hall (part of the South Place Ethical Society premises). Series largely consists of chamber music concerts, in particular string quartets. Concert series supported by South Place (though previously this venue had been used) from 1887 onwards. Extant at least in 2004. Title of series dropped the word "popular" from some time between 1935 and 1946.
